Objectives

  • Develop sustainable, data-driven approaches, including data-centered AI and advancements in smart manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and test innovative, multi-perspective digital technologies and collaborative robotic solutions.
  • Leverage emerging digital technologies to define innovative design and management principles and guidelines aimed at achieving sustainable and resilient production and logistics processes in the factory of the future.

Main Activities

01

Definition and conceptualization of a human-centered digital working environment.

02

Development and testing of digital technologies, such as:

  • AI based on machine learning models
  • Internet of Things (IoT)
Exploration of new Digital Twin (DT) solutions, including the virtualization of worker parameters and wellbeing metrics, with the goal of reducing system vulnerability to unpredictable events.

03

Development and experimentation of digital technologies that enhance worker wellbeing, prosperity beyond employment, sustainable growth and the creation of a resilient and flexible manufacturing system across extended value chains.
