CONCEPT

SUSTAIN focuses on eco-friendly composite materials for furniture and construction, combining advanced pultrusion technologies with fiber optic sensors for continuous structural monitoring. The final pultruded profiles will be fully recyclable, contributing to enhanced sustainability and industrial innovation.

CONTEXT

The SUSTAIN project aims to develop innovative, green, and smart pultruded profiles by integrating bio-based resins with high biocarbon content and optical fibers for structural health monitoring. The goal is to reduce the environmental impact of the industry by promoting recyclable and reusable composite materials, aligning with circular economy principles.
