Sustainable Optimization of Additive Processes for Excellence in Made in Italy
PROJECT LEAD

Francesco Naclerio

CONCEPT

The OSPA project develops a sustainable additive manufacturing process for the Made in Italy brand, using SLM (Selective Laser Melting) and EBM (Electron Beam Melting) technologies. The primary goal is to optimize processing parameters to reduce waste and improve component quality by leveraging high-performance materials.

Collaboration with research institutions ensures the overcoming of technical challenges, enabling the production of innovative and eco-friendly components. This approach aligns with circular economy and environmental sustainability principles set out in the Italian PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan), enhancing the competitiveness and innovation of the Italian manufacturing sector.

CONTEXT

The “Sustainable Optimization of Additive Processes for Excellence in Made in Italy” project aims to improve the efficiency and sustainability of additive manufacturing for the Italian industrial sector. By adopting advanced technologies such as SLM and EBM, the project focuses on reducing environmental impact and production time, while using innovative materials and optimized processing parameters.

The initiative promotes a circular economy and contributes to national sustainability goals, helping to increase the competitiveness of Made in Italy products in international markets.
