The BIOPIC project proposes bio-inspired design strategies that optimize the life cycle of products and production systems based on future-proof design.
A new Motor Home sidewall has been developed through additive manufacturing, reducing material usage thanks to a structure inspired by bone trabeculae, and a reversible finishing for furniture (kitchen and nautical sector) coverings using a bio-inspired glue, enabling aesthetic upgradability and an extended product life cycle
